On Wednesday, 10 June, The Chefs’ Table welcomes one of KwaZulu-Natal's most respected culinary talents, Chef Constantijn Hahndiek, for an exclusive one-night-only collaboration dinner.
Inspired by the landscapes, producers and ingredients that define our province, "The Province on a Plate" is a culinary journey through KwaZulu-Natal. From the abundant seafood of our coastline to the rich agricultural heartland of the Midlands, the evening will celebrate the flavours, people and places that make KZN one of South Africa's most exciting food destinations.
Known to many simply as "Tijn", Constantijn has built a reputation for thoughtful, ingredient-led cooking that showcases the very best seasonal produce. Having honed his craft in leading kitchens across Europe before earning acclaim at Hartford House, his approach combines classical technique with a deep respect for local ingredients and the farmers, fishermen and artisans behind them.
Together with The Chefs’ Table team, Chef Constantijn Hahndiek will present a specially curated menu inspired by the province we proudly call home. Expect refined cooking, exceptional ingredients and a dining experience that tells the story of KwaZulu-Natal through every course.
