Since opening in 2016, The Chefs' Table has earned its place as one of the more sophisticated dining experiences in Durban, while remaining contemporary and approachable. Beautifully designed, with luxurious detail The Chefs' Table offers gracious hospitality, located in the heart of the Umhlanga village.
Award winning executive Chef Kayla-Ann Osborn presents a modern, seasonal menu inspired by the best fresh, seasonal ingredients that Kwa-Zulu Natal has to offer. The open plan kitchen is at the heart of the restaurant, allowing diners to watch the chefs at work and feel the connection to the food and the beautifully plated dishes being prepared.
A world class wine cellar, stocked with unique, vintage wines from South Africa, as well as a selection of International wines, specifically French and New Zealand wines, rank among the noteworthy highlights of the restaurants wine programme, headed by manager of the programme, George Dzubinsky.
INSPIRED EATING EXPERIENCES
Each dish is carefully sculptured around exceptional flavours and plated as a work of art on hand crafted ceramic dishes, further reinforcing the artisanal nature of the dining experience. The full wine cellar boasts an impressive array of fine South African wines as well as vintage bottles that can be viewed on request.
The interior of the restaurant reflects the philosophy of the food: natural materials, raw, luxurious yet simple... comfortable and familiar, yet exhilarating and adventurous.
Executive Chef, Kayla-Ann Osborn, was awarded the Eat Out Rising Star of the Year in 2017 and The Chefs’ Table was awarded Eat Out Top 15th Restaurant of the Year in 2018. Her passion for her craft is obvious and she curates her menu with bold flavours and pairings.

RESTAURANT WEEK SA
Restaurant Week South Africa’s Winter Edition will be taking place from the 18 July - 4 August. Enjoy either a 2 course lunch for R250 pp or a 3 course dinner for R350 pp.
Join us for our Festive Fridays every Friday afternoon between 3pm and 7pm at our bar. Mixologist, Lamoure Benton's new cocktail menu features a range of local spirits, drawing inspiration from seasonal flavours.
