CHEFS' CLUB SUNDAY with johanneS Richter 

This March, we have another esteemed chef joining Chef Kayla in the kitchen, Johannes Richter from LivingRoom at Summerhill Estate. We’re incredibly excited to welcome this dynamic chef to The Chefs’ Table. The LivingRoom is a new food sensation to hit Durban, with his focus on “garden to plate” dining and artisanal cuisine. Chef Kayla has been wanting to collaborate with Johannes since meeting him, and the opportunity has now arrived to share their passion for regional products and sustainable philosophies.

Johannes, along with his wife Johanna in front of house, have captivated the Durban restaurant scene with “the heart and spirit their hands bring to their food”, and we’re excited to combine our similar food philosophies to curate a Chefs’ Club Sunday lunch menu that will give you “a sense of home away from home”.

Hosted by The Chefs' Table, Umhlanga, the Chefs' Club Sunday series is a way to showcase some of the most talented chefs in Durban as well as South Africa. Each lunch will feature a different chef that we highly respect and think is doing incredible things. The menu will be a collaboration between Chef Kayla and the guest chef, and will offer an opportunity to taste and experience local produce in a new and interesting light.

The Chefs' Club Sunday series gives our diners a chance to see and experience what's going on by bringing some of the country's best chefs right here to Umhlanga.
