We kickstart our Chefs’ Club Sunday series for 2019 with a Durban legend, Brett Gentles from the popular Glenwood bistro, Parc Café.  Join us on Sunday the 20th of January for an unforgettable Sunday lunch. Book now to avoid disappointment, as we are filling up quickly.

Brett is one of Durban’s most talked-about chefs, who believes that every meal should be a celebration of life. Parc Café, is a family owned and family run business where everyone is welcome and should feel at home. Formerly the chef at 9th Avenue Bistro, he is passionate about showcasing the finest local products and believes the ingredients should speak for themselves. His approach has been described as: “clever café food that plays with textures and fresh flavours”. 

Grab your friends, family or colleagues and join us on Sunday for anything but a traditional Sunday lunch as Brett joins Kayla in our kitchen for this collaboration. They are curating a menu around fresh, seasonal ingredients and including some of his classic dishes.

Hosted by The Chefs' Table, Umhlanga, the Chefs' Club Sunday series is a way to showcase some of the most talented chefs in Durban as well as South Africa. Each lunch will feature a different chef that we highly respect and think is doing incredible things. The menu will be a collaboration between Chef Kayla and the guest chef, and will offer an opportunity to taste and experience local produce in a new and interesting light.

The Chefs' Club Sunday series gives our diners a chance to see and experience what's going on by bringing some of the country's best chefs right here to Umhlanga.
